Pets need many things to keep them happy and healthy, including human attention, affection, and exercise.
Basic dog supplies include a collar, leash, crate, bed, play toys and chew toys, brush, nail trimmer, food and water bowls, treats for training, and good quality food. Basic cat supplies include a collar, bed, litter box, toys, brush, nail trimmer, scratcher (sisal, carpet or cardboard), cat tree for climbing, food and water bowls, and good quality wet and dry food. Inuvik has a Responsible Pet Ownership bylaw for dogs which states, amongst other things that You must provide your dog with:

You must license your dog - tags can be bought at the Town Office. Dogs under 4 months old are exempt.
The Municipal Enforcement Peace Officers are responsible for animal control within the Town, including: capturing stray dogs, barking dog complaints, managing the Dog Pound and investigating animal cruelty matters.
